Nagercoil is situated at the tip of the Indian Peninsula . Nagerkoil is the headquarters of Kanyakumari district. This town was earlier called as Nanjilnadu. Before Independence , this town was a part of Kerala state. It was integrated with Tamil Nadu in 1956.
